1974 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

The design for the Karmann Ghia is universally loved… but it wasn’t initially, at least not as a Volkswagen. In 1952 Chrysler teamed up with Italian design house, Ghia, to build a show car. The result was a vehicle bearing the original design cues of the Karmann Ghia, named the Chrysler D’Elegance. This vehicle was never produced and soon forgotten, that is until Volkswagen started looking for designs for their new sportier version of the Beetle. They found themselves in contact with Ghia and decided to tweak the D’Elegance design to fit the chassis and powertrain of their new production car, the Karmann Ghia.

Taking the rarity and uniqueness of this specific model to the next level, Danny has kept the original window stickers in place for the past 45 years.
