Unlike Danny’s other VW Busses, this is the only one that was left in completely original condition. No restorations, no modifications, and clearly no concerns regarding rust. The vehicle’s specific name is the T1 – commonly referred to as the “Barndoor” (referencing its enormous rear engine cover). The T1 is the very first generation of VW busses. This particular model was owned by Universal Motor Cars in the 50’s and was heavily used as mobile advertising and Parts Delivery, as it clearly states on the doors.
